1. Dhobighat Sudhar Yojna for Environmental Improvement River side Area in Delhi under Yamuna Action Plan- II
National River Conservation Directorate, MoEF, GOI is implementing Yamuna Action Plan with financial assistance from Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) which aims to pollution abatement of River Yamuna. The project covers 18 towns across three states including of UP, Haryana and Delhi. Under the project, several schemes are being implemented to address the different sources of pollution. One of the schemes under YAP-II is about improvement of environmental conditions of river bed area as well as water quality of the river by relocating the laundry activities (illegal dobighats) from the river in Delhi. Vision EIS team has been engaged for conducting feasibility study and to formulate master plan for improvement of river bed area situated all along the entire stretch of river Yamuna in the State of Delhi covering all 12 municipa l zones. The project also emphasizes on capacity building of stakeholders and developing institutional framework for effective operation & maintenance of the ghats. It involves social and technical surveys, assessment, and consultation with all stakeholders including Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
2. Capacity Building of Sewerage Works in India.
Japan International Cooperation Agency ( JICA), a grant aid agency of Govt. of Japan is providing technical and financial assistance to National River Conservation Directorate, Ministry of Environment & Forests, Govt. of India to improve the Operation & Maintenance ( O&M) of sewerage system especially Sewage Treatment Plants across all NRCP targeted towns with a view to enhance operating capacities of STPs leading to better results in sewage treatments, thus, improving the water quality of rivers where the treated water is discharged.
Vision EIS Consulting has been engaged by JICA to carry out the needs assessment study for capacity building covering all NRCP towns of targeted states and formulate a need based capacity building plan for various state level agencies involved in execution and O&M of the sewerage projects. The scope of work includes development of study tools, collecting data from primary and secondary sources regarding the project activities, consultation with stakeholders, organizing workshops, identification of issues and gaps in O&M of STPs, formulation of a Draft Plan for training and capacity building and development of module for training to different level of staff.
3. Study on Promoting Blood Safety and Availability by Establishment of Voluntary Blood Donation System in State of Andhra Pradesh
The Government of Andhra Pradesh as part of its governance reform initiatives is implementing "Delivery of Improved Services in Administration" (DISA) with the financial assistance of DFID, Govt. of UK during 2006-09 in certain key departments that includes the health department as well.One of the projects initiated under DISA is "Promoting Blood Safety and Availability in AP by Establishing Voluntary Blood Donation System". This project aims to set in process an effort to encourage, identify and develop a panel of voluntary informed donors in a chosen district in order to fulfil the needs of the district and promote safety of blood. The objective of the project is to establish a panel of informed educated regular voluntary donors in a district in AP.
4. Development of IEC Strategy and Convergence Framework between departments of ICDS, Health and Rural Development to address Malnourishment Rates among Children in state of Andhra Pradesh
The Government of Andhra Pradesh as part of its governance reform initiatives is implementing "Andhra Pradesh Public Management and Service Delivery Improvement Programme" (APPMSDIP). The APPMSDIP is designed to impact at policy, organizational and community levels to ensure that poor people will benefit from the reforms. Present project is a part of reform initiatives with an objective to improve the collaboration between DWCD, health and rural development departments to address the high rates of malnourishment among children in AP. This is an action research project over a period of nine months and will present a model framework for convergence of various departments for effective management of malnourished cases.

5. Social Impact Assessment and Formulation of R&R Plan for the proposed Six Lanes Express Road over the Gazi Haider Canal in Lucknow city, Uttar Pradesh.
VISION EIS consulting team carried out social impact assessment (SIA) for the formulation of resettlement and rehabilitation plan for proposed six lane express road project over GH Canal in Lucknow. the project was carried out to assess and evaluate the long term impact of the proposed project on the people residing within the affected zone of the proposed Right of Way (RoW) of 15 meters radial distance on both the banks of the GH canal. The project presented a RAP to the implementing agencies after consultative process to finalize the same.
6. Design and Implementation of Information Education and Communication (IEC) Campaign and Capacity Building Programme for Municipal Solid Waste Management in Ghaziabad town of Uttar Pradesh
The VISION EIS Consulting team implemented an action-research project on municipal solid waste (MSW) management in Ghaziabad town of UP. The project aimed to sensitize different segments of population on various aspects of solid waste and seek public participation in implementation of an integrated municipal solid waste project that was being implemented by Municipal Corporation. The project also focused on building capacities of Municipal Corporation on municipal solid waste handling and maintenance by imparting training to concerned officials and sanitary workers. The major stakeholders who were targeted through this project included waste generators, waste collectors, waste managers and concerned government officials/authorities of Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation.

8. Preparation of Detailed Project Report for Augmentation of Existing Drainage System in Lucknow
The preparation of DPR for Augmentation of existing drainage system of Lucknow City within Lucknow Nagar Nigam limits was undertaken by VISION EIS Consulting on behalf of Municipal Corporation of Lucknow. The Storm Water Drainage System of Lucknow city is in very bad shape. The haphazard un-planned growth and filling of natural ponds has added to the misery. A number of small/big drains were added in isolation, unmindful of the final disposal. The magnitude of natural absorption of rain water by percolation got reduced due to Pucca roads pavements resulting in increased run off. The drains have been made garbage dumping places by the residents thereby rendering them non-functional.The DPR aimed at improving the efficiency of the drainage system by augmenting the existing infrastructure.

9. Detailed Survey of Garbage Transportation and Supply Plan for Municipal Solid Waste to Power Project and Preparation of Techno-Economic Feasibility Report
The VISION EIS Consulting Team carried out a base line survey on Solid Waste Management in Rohini Zone covering 32 wards in Delhi. The assignment focused on detailed survey of garbage, mapping of collection point in each ward and truck routing to landfill site and assessment of physical characteristics of the garbage collected at each collection points.

10. Preparation of Detailed Project Report for Drainage System at Agra
VISION EIS Consulting was the part of the team prepared the Drainage System Plan for Agra Town. The basic purpose of the study was to provide mechanism for improvement of drainage system of the town. The main task undertaken by VISION EIS under this project included formulation of public participation plan, and development of modules for institutional capacity building of Project Implementing Agencies for effective implementation of the project and its sustainable management and EIA Study, besides providing engineering solutions.
11. Preparation of Training & IEC Plan and Institutional Framework for Improvement of Water Supply System in Meerut City.
Development of Information, Education and Communication plan and institutional framework for improvement of water supply system in Meerut City was undertaken by Vision EIS under the improvement plan for Meerut town. The project involved dedicated social assessment and communication needs assessment.
12. Preparation of Detailed Project Reports for Solid Waste Management scheme in the cities of Agra, Lucknow and Kanpur.
VISION EIS Consulting prepared DPR for solid waste management in Agra, Lucknow and Kanpur cities which have already been approved by Ministry of Urban Development, Govt. of India under JNNURM. The work was undertaken for Regional Center for Urban and Environmental Studies (RCUES) in association with Tetra Tech and the scope included developing a municipal solid waste (MSW) management scheme in compliance with MSW rules 2000. The project involved extensive household survey in all three cities to assess the quantity of the waste generated per day, apart from the survey of other garbage generators such as market complexes, mandis etc. The project (DPR) provided a detailed account of the existing conditions of SWM in these targeted cities with details of SWM handling system and infrastructure available, assessment of major gaps in the system, proposal for improvement of solid waste management, plan for public Participation, plan for improving institutional capacity of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in management of Municipal Waste along with the financial analysis of the project for cost recovery. The salient feature of the plan was to create opportunity of employment / livelihood for large nos. of urban poor by proposing innovative mechanisms through the project.
13. Environmental Impact Study (EIA) & Social Assessment of Govindgarh lake in Rewa District of M.P.
MPLCA (Madhya Pradesh Lake Conservation Authority) assigned the task for preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Govind Garh Lake situated in Rewa District of MP. The project aimed at identifying various issues affecting the environmental conditions of the lake and provides effective remedial measure for environmental improvement. The project also emphasized on improving the socio-economic conditions of the villagers/ community living in vicinity of the lake by creating livelihood opportunities apart from rehabilitation of project affected persons. The Vision EIS Consulting carried out the Rapid Environmental Impact Study (EIA) & Social Impact of the project and provided mitigation plan of the same.
14. Environmental Impacts Study (EIA) and Sanitation Improvement Plan of Pushkar and Pichola Lakes in Rajasthan.
Vision EIS Consulting Team carried out the Social Impact Assessments of the proposed Environmental Improvement and Conservation of Fateh Sagar, Pichola and Pushkar lakes of Udaipur and Pushkar in Rajasthan. The study primarily emphasized on the assessments if negative and positive impacts of the various interventions/ developments proposed under the said projects, on the communities/ stakeholders around the lake vicinity of lakes and formulate appropriate mechanisms to address their issues. It focused on the assessment of resettlements and rehabilitation involved impacts on livelihood and other concerned issues of the public as well as provided mechanism for the public participation and awareness for the success and sustainability of the project. The Team also formulated Institutional framework for effective implementation and operation& maintenance of the project.
15. Preparation of Pre-Feasibility Report for Lucknow Cantonment Board for Improvement of Municipal Solid Waste in Lucknow Cantonment
VISION EIS was enaged for undertaking the above assignment for Lucknow Cantonment area by Tetra Tech .The scope of work included conduting a prefeasibility study for developing an integrated municipal solid waste management plan.
16. Preparation of Master Plan and Detailed Project Report (DPR) on Municipal Solid Waste for Allahabad City.
VISION EIS provided its services to Nagar Nigam, Allahabad for integrated municipal solid waste system for Allahabad city in line with MSW rule 2000. The scope of work included developing a comprehensive municipal solid waste management plan having integrated approach. The Project has been sanctioned by Ministry of Urban Development, Govt of India under JNNURM scheme.
17. Project Management Consultants (PMC) for Monitoring of Sewerage System in Rampur city of Uttar Pradesh.
The project involved construction of around 60 KM of sewerage system in the city of Rampur, Uttar Pradesh As project management consultants, VISION EIS consulting was responsible for successful and timely implementation of the project carried out through number of contractors. The project apart from engineering intervention involved great amount of social and public participation initiative seeking people's support and implementation of the project.
18. Detailed Project Report on Road and Flyovers in Rampur City of Uttar Pradesh under UDISSMT Scheme of Govt of India
VISION EIS prepared the DPR on Road and Fly Over that was sanctioned under UIDSSMT scheme of MoUD, Govt of India. The task under the project was primarily to carry out Social Impact Study and Formulation of R&R Plan for the project affected persons. VISION EIS provided support in technical surveys and investigation, and support in conceptualization, design and drawings.
19. Pre- Feasibility Study and DPR for improvement of city slums in Ghaziabad City
VISION EIS prepared the above DPR on Road and Fly Over and city Slums of Ghaziabad. Our task under the project was primarily to carry out Slum Improvement Study and prepare a plan for development of Model Slum.

20. Concurrent evaluation of projects under National Afforestation Programme(NAP) scheme being implemented through Forest Development Agencies (FDAs)
VISION EIS has been appointed as an external evaluator by MoEF to monitor the Afforestation projects being implemented under National Afforestation Programme (NAP) through Forest Development Agencies (FDAs) from the year 2002-03.

21. Study on survival of planted seedling in one year
VISION EIS has been appointed as an external evaluator by MoEF to monitor the tree plantation on public and forest lands of the 20 point programme-2006 which covers afforestation and tree planting activities in all 20 States/UTs. The NAEB monitors the actual performance of the afforestation and tree planting activities undertaken during the year 2006-07 by all agencies- government, public or private would be taken up.
22. Implementation and Supervision of HIV/AIDS Programme at ADHPL Sites.
RSWML is proposing to set up a Hydroelectric Project (ADHEP) of 2 x 96 MW 192 MW on Allain and Duhangan tributaries of Beas River in Tehsil Manali, District Kullu, Himachal Pradesh in India. ADHEP with the grant support of IFC and its project partner is committed to implementing a comprehensive HIV/ AIDS awareness programme in its project influence area and systematically making the local medical facilities self sufficient in handling HIV/ AIDS related programme in future.
23. Special Assistance for Project Formation (SAPROF) for Dedicated Freight Corridor Project
Vision EIS Consulting has been engaged by Nippon Koei Co. Ltd to be a part of the Japanese Specialist for Sensitive Receptor Survey / Public Consultation of JBIC SAPROF Study Team.
The JBIC SAPROF team is assisting the Ministry of Railways, GOI in designing the Freight Corridor and commissioning Natural Environment Impact Evaluation, Pollution Control Mechanism, Social Environmental Impact Evaluation and Resettlement Plan for Project Affected Persons. The project covers Indian States of Haryana, Gujarat and Rajasthan. Vision EIS has been engaged to supervise the EIA, SIA and R&R Plan formulation and assist the JBIC team in formulating draft reports and conducting pubic consultation meetings to mitigate the social impact caused by construction of Dedicated Freight Corridor. Vision EIS is also entrusted with completing the Sensitive Receptor Survey and preparation of reports and presentations concerning issues of resettlement and rehabilitation of the PAPs.
24. Mid-Term Evaluation of MNGO/ FNGO Programme under RCH - II/ NRHM
Under RCH-II programme, 17 Mother NGOs (MNGOs) through 88 field NGOs (FNGOs) are implementing RCH-NGO programme in 22 districts of Orissa. The main objective of the project is to address the gaps in the RCH service delivery in selected unserved/ underserved areas so as to enable such districts/blocks to achieve an overall RCH status equivalent to the average for the State. Though the function of MNGOs/FNGOs have been monitored from time to time by NGO-P3 Cell, Regional Resource Center (RRC) and District Programme Management Unit (DPMU), it became imperative to carry out the midterm/ annual evaluation as per NGO guidelines of Government of India to determine the effectiveness, outcome and impact vis-à-vis achievements in comparison to the baseline survey.
25. Concurrent Evaluation of National Rural Health Mission
The National Rural Health Mission has been launched to provide effective healthcare to rural population throughout the country with special focus on 18 states, which have weak public health indicators and / or weak infrastructure. The NRHM is committed to undertake architectural correction of the health system to enable it to effectively handle increased allocations and promote policies that strengthen public health management and service delivery in the country.The purpose of this assignment is to evaluate the impact of the NRHM interventions and make recommendations on the institutional mechanism and monitoring systems that have been put in place, programme designs for consistency, feasibility, and effectiveness with respect to the goals of the NRHM, Capacities available and adequacy building efforts, Programme outcomes with the respect to the phase of the programme in each stat.
